Location and Parking Information

Parking Information:

Program Location: CodeWorks 2025 will take place at the Bunting Center at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).

Address: 1401 W Mount Royal Ave, Baltimore, MD 21217

Parents and guardians may drop off students directly in front of the Bunting Center. Please do not double park, as you may be ticketed or towed. Follow posted signage and any directions from MICA security.

Free street parking is available on Mount Royal Avenue and Mosher Street near the Bunting Center.

⚠️ Note: Street cleaning occurs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so be sure to park on the opposite side of the street on those days to avoid tickets or towing.

Public Transportation:

Light Rail:

The MICA/Mount Royal station is located steps away from the Bunting Center and serves the Light Rail line running between Hunt Valley and Glen Burnie.

Tickets are $1.60 each way.

Bus Lines:

Several MTA bus routes stop near MICA, including lines 5, 51, 91, and others.

Charm City Circulator:

The Purple Route has stops close to MICA and connects key neighborhoods including Federal Hill, Mt. Vernon, Penn Station, and Charles Village.

Metro Subway:

The Metro SubwayLink line does not have a stop directly at MICA, but Penn Station is nearby and accessible via connecting bus routes or a short walk.

YouthWorks MTA Charm Pass:

Youth that signed up for free public transportation can access their FREE MTA CharmPass through the app which will load midnight on 7/7.

  2. Create an account using the same email used for YouthWorks application.

  3. Instructions for the app: https://bit.ly/MTA-Info-YW

  4. For the last week of YouthWorks, the charmpass will deactivate in the app at midnight leading into 8/9.
