Spring ‘24: Program Information

Disciplinary Procedures

Violations of our Community Guidelines may result in disciplinary actions, which can include warnings, parent meetings, suspension or dismissal from programming. The procedure for disciplinary actions during Code in the Schools programming are as follows:

  1. Instructor gives a verbal warning to the student.

  2. If behavior continues, Instructor will give a written warning to the student (and parent depending on the severity of the offense).

    1. A copy of the written warning is kept by CITS staff for record keeping.

  3. For continued negative behavior or in the case of severe offenses, a Referral for Administrative Action Form is completed by the Instructor. This triggers a phone call to the student’s parent or guardian to set-up a conference.
