Emergency & Inclement Weather

Emergency Communication Policy

Communication concerning program updates, inclement weather and schedule changes will occur via the Prodigy Slack Channel first and foremost. Emails, calls, and texts will also be sent to students and families in the case of emergencies and when appropriate. Students and parents are encouraged to sign up for Slack to receive updates as soon as they are available. 

Inclement Weather Policy

Code in the Schools programs follow Baltimore City Public Schools policies for inclement weather so if BCPSS schools are closed due to bad weather, Code in the Schools Programs are also closed. In the case of inclement weather closures, Code in the Schools staff will communicate updates via Slack and Email.
