Code in the Schools' Girls in CS Summit aims to expose girls and youth from marginalized genders to a dynamic day of workshops, panels, and networking with leading industry professionals. We hope that this event will catalyze their interest in technology, spark a career in computer science, or increase their skills for the digital future. Through hands-on workshops, networking, panel discussions and a showcase, Code in the Schools aims to connect young adults interested in technology to organizations, programs, future employers and new technologies in Baltimore.

Arrival, Parking, and Check-In

ARRIVAL TIMES

We recommend arriving between 9:30am and 10:30am to avoid overlapping the participant check in time and to allow time to set up your classroom and/or showcase table.

Please note: Arriving NLT 11am will also allow you to attend the welcome announcements, enjoy lunch and promote your workshop/organization during the networking lunch.

LOCATION

Please navigate to Doyle Hall to check-in at the Gator Alley entrance to pick up your badge and to off load workshop and CS Showcase materials. The CS Showcase tables are located in Gator Hall. There will be a volunteer inside the doors to check you in and coordinate assistance for transporting your materials, if needed.

MATERIAL LOADING/OFF-LOADING

The H/FS lot between Doyle Hall and the Knott Science Center is the best place to off load/load materials for the CS Showcase and workshop sessions. [See Campus Map]. Please park in the non-handicapped spots, if available.  If there are no available spots, please park at the end of the lot to off-load and find another spot to park after off-loading. Please call Kim Suter upon arrival if there is an issue.

Please note: NDMU Security will be around campus to direct people towards Doyle Hall/Knott Science Center buildings, parking lots near event buildings, check in locations, etc.
