Summer 2024 Hood College Summer Professional Learning

This workshop was amazing. {The facilitators] are knowledgeable and experts in their field. They were able to transfer their knowledge to us in an engaging manner. I appreciated that the classroom culture was non-judgmental so I felt comfortable taking risks.

Support

Professional learning workshops have received strong support from across the political spectrum. We were honored to host Lt. Governor Aruna Miller at our 2023 Summer Community Celebration and over the years we have  received personalized videos and letters of support from Governor Larry Hogan, Senator Chris Van Hollen, Senator Ben Cardin and Code.org’s Pat Yongpradit.

“…The hands-on activities helped me understand concepts, and the instructors were supportive. I enjoyed the collaborative environment, where we could share ideas. The engaging projects provided practical skills I can apply later. Overall, it sparked my interest in exploring computer science in greater depth.”
